Law Seminars International Presents: Second Annual Conference on

Climate Change Regulation and Policy
Managing the risks and taking advantage of related business opportunities

April 14 & 15, 2008
Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, VA

Who Should Attend

Private law practitioners, in-house counsel, government lawyers and policy-makers, climate consultants and those involved in what localities, states and regions in the United States and certain key players overseas (EU, China, India, Japan, Brazil, Canada) are doing to address this important issue

Why Attend

Climate change, its implications for the global environment, and how best to mitigate its impact, is shaping up to be the preeminent environmental issue of our time. Over the past year, public awareness of and Congressional focus on this issue has intensified. National greenhouse gas emission regulation, affecting major emitting sectors of the U.S. economy, would be the first major environmental regulatory program adopted in the U.S. in over two decades. Climate change will continue to pose an enormous regulatory challenge throughout the careers of all those presently engaged in the issue.

The mission of this program is to provide the information and analysis needed to keep abreast of fast-breaking legal and policy developments at the state, national and international levels, to manage corporate risk associated with climate change and to take maximum advantage of related business opportunities.

These and other questions questions will be addressed in this program by some of the top practitioners and policy experts in the field.
