"Patent Claim Construction" is an intensive one-day seminar covering today's key issues in claim construction, including a case law overview and update, recent developments from the Federal Circuit, litigation strategies, effective appellate advocacy, and other pertinent issues.

This seminar is designed for litigators, in-house counsel, and judicial opinion writers involved in patent cases, whether at the pre-filing, litigation or appellate stages.

Tuition

Regular tuition for this program is $695 with a group rate of $620 each for two or more registrants from the same firm. For government employees, we offer a special rate of $545. For students and people in their job for less than a year, our rate is $347.50. All rates include admission to all seminar sessions, food and beverages at breaks, and all course materials. Make checks payable to Law Seminars International.

Cancellation & Substitution

You may substitute another person at any time. We will refund tuition, less a $50 cancellation fee, if we receive your cancellation by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2008. After that time, we will credit your tuition toward attendance at another program or the purchase of a Homestudy. There is a $25 cancellation fee for Course Materials orders and $50 for Homestudy orders.

Continuing Education Credits

This program qualifies for 6.5 GA CLE credits. Upon request, we will apply for CLE credits in other states and other types of credits.

Holmes J. Hawkins III, Program Co-Chair, partner, King & Spalding LLP, focuses his practice on all aspects of the firm's IP practice, with emphasis on the litigation and trial of patent infringement cases. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and in Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers and recognized as a "Georgia Super Lawyer" by Atlanta Magazine.

Mitchell G. Stockwell, Program Co-Chair, partner at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP's Intellectual Property Group, focuses on IP dispute resolution, with special emphasis on patent infringement, trade secret and related IP litigation and licensing transactions. He was named as a Georgia "Super Lawyer" and listed in the International Who's Who of Patent Lawyers 2007.

James A. Anderson, partner at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi LLP, focuses his practice on IP litigation, commercial property, and business interruption insurance for subrogation and coverage analysis/litigation, and general commercial disputes. John M. Bowler, partner at Troutman Sanders LLP, has experience in IP litigation with a primary focus on patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret and unfair competition matters. He has tried patent cases to juries and argued and obtained affirmance on appeal before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.

Marcus Delgado is Chief IP Counsel for Cox Communications. He handles all IP counseling, licensing, and litigation matters for the company. Prior to joining Cox, he was Chief Patent Counsel at BellSouth. He is a graduate of Boston University (B.A., Physics) and UCLA School of Law.

L. Norwood Jameson, partner at Duane Morris, LLP, practices IP law and litigation with emphasis on patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and unfair competition. Atlanta Magazine and Georgia Super Lawyers Magazine have named him a "Super Lawyer" in the field of IP litigation.

Edward D. Manzo, founding partner of Cook Alex, has published on claim construction law annually since 2001 and is the originator, lead author and editor-in-chief of Claim Construction in the Federal Circuit. He is listed in Who's Who in the World and Illinois Super Lawyers.

Robin L. McGrath, partner at Alston & Bird LLP, focuses on patent, trademark, Internet and copyright litigation and counseling. She represents clients on patent and trademark cases and has experience with domain name disputes and actions. She has been named in Best Lawyers in America for Intellectual Property Law.

John L. North, partner at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, practices primarily IP litigation and is Chair of the firm's IP Group. He has experience in controversies involving patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation, and related unfair competition and antitrust controversies.

Geoff Sutcliffe is Senior Intellectual Property Counsel for AT&T, and manages the patent prosecution program, patent licensing, patent sales and litigation. Previously, he was a partner at Kilpatrick Stockton and was a patent examiner.

Bernard L. Zidar, Chief IP Counsel for McKesson Corporation, handles all IP matters for McKesson Technology Solutions. He manages the company's patent and trademark portfolios, handles trademark clearance activities, trade secret and confidentiality issues and litigation of IP disputes.
