Tuition

Regular tuition for this program is $595 with a group rate of $520 each for two or more registrants from the same firm. For government employees, we offer a special rate of $445. For students and people in their job for less than a year, our rate is $297.50. All rates include admission to all seminar sessions, food and beverages at breaks, and all course materials. Make checks payable to Law Seminars International.

Cancellation & Substitution

You may substitute another person at any time. We will refund tuition, less a $50 cancellation fee, if we receive your cancellation by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008. After that time, we will credit your tuition toward attendance at another program or the purchase of a Homestudy. There is a $25 cancellation fee for Course Materials orders and $50 for Homestudy orders.

Continuing Education Credits

This program qualifies for 6 IL CLE credits. IL real estate credits are pending. Upon request, we will apply for CLE credits in other states and other types of credits.

Faculty Bios

Robert G. Davidson, Program Co-Chair, principal at Schwartz Cooper Chartered, is head of the Real Estate Development, Acquisitions and Dispositions Practice Group. He focuses on commercial real estate development, leasing and financing. He is named an Illinois "Leading Lawyer" and "Super Lawyer."

Ivan P. Kane, Program Co-Chair, partner at Mayer Brown LLP, has a transactional real estate practice as well as experience in development of large mixed-use projects. He is a "Leading Lawyer" and "Super Lawyer", and is listed in "Chambers USA."

Todd A. Bancroft, Executive Vice President of Equity Marketing Services, Inc., leads the acquisition and condominium conversion activities. He focuses on core sales and marketing client business.

Steven M. Elrod, partner at Holland & Knight LLP, represents private and public sector and municipal clients in real estate development, zoning and land use. As counsel to regional and local real estate developers, he also is engaged in large tract property acquisition and governmental approvals and entitlements process.

Elizabeth M. Flood is a Senior Associate General Counsel of the Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corporation d/b/a Metra. She manages the real estate division of Metra and handles commercial acquisition and development projects supporting maintenance and expansion of commuter rail service in Illinois.

Thomas H. Fraerman is Executive Vice President of Development Strategy at Joseph Freed and Associates LLC, where, until recently, he was General Counsel. He focuses on the company's downtown Chicago developments.

Mark S. Friedman of the Law Offices of Mark S. Friedman, concentrates in real estate and business transactional law. He works on real estate and business acquisitions and divestitures, and commercial and residential real estate developments, including condominium projects, vertical subdivisions and mixed-use developments.

Robert (Dean) K. Hagan, partner at Hagan & Vidovic LLP, specializes in real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions of real estate, leasing, joint ventures, financing, property management and brokerage agreements. Previously, he was a partner at Mayer Brown LLP.

James W. Peters is a member of the Real Estate Department of Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, PC. He focuses on acquisition, leasing and development of property for shopping center, resort, residential and commercial use and on secured financing transactions.

Jeff Richman, General Counsel of Equity Marketing Services, Inc., focuses on development structuring and contract administration functions for client and in-house conversion projects.

Richard A. Wendy, partner at Freeborn & Peters LLP in the Real Estate and Land Use Practice Group, focuses on land use and real estate development law. He is a Super Lawyer and previously was Deputy Commissioner for the City of Chicago's Department of Planning and Development.
