Tuition

Regular tuition for this program is $895 with a group rate of $795 each for two or more registrants from the same firm. For government employees, we offer a special rate of $695. For students and people in their job for less than a year, our rate is $447.50. All rates include admission to all seminar sessions, food and beverages at breaks, and all course materials. Make checks payable to Law Seminars International.

Cancellation & Substitution

You may substitute another person at any time. We will refund tuition, less a $50 cancellation fee, if we receive your cancellation by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2006. After that time, we will credit your tuition toward attendance at another program or the purchase of a homestudy. There is a $25 cancellation fee for Course Materials orders and $50 for Homestudy orders.

Continuing Education Credits

We will apply for Illinois MCLE credit as soon as the Bar is ready to accept applications. Upon request, we will apply for CLE credits in other states and other types of credits.

Patrick G. Moran, Program Co-Chair, is partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP and former chairman of their Real Estate Group. He handles a wide variety of commercial real estate and related financing matters, with a special emphasis on leasing and financing. His current financing practice focuses on capital sources for the real estate and mortgage industry.

Gary N. Ruben, Program Co-Chair, is a principal in Goldberg Kohn's Real Estate Group, and also is chair of the Leasing Group. His practice includes all aspects of real estate, including acquisitions, financing, construction and joint ventures. He has extensive experience working with lenders making loans in the senior care and health care industries.

Douglas W. Anderson is a partner at Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum Perlman & Nagelberg LLP. He represents institutions and entrepreneurs in commercial real estate, corporate and business planning matters. His corporate practice has included the negotiation of many stock and asset sales and financings.

Holly K. Duran is one of the country's most influential women in tenant representation. As the owner and principal of Holly Duran Real Estate Partners LLC, she has spearheaded lease negotiations for more than 10 million square feet of space, consistently achieving highly aggressive, flexible transactions.

Ira Fierstein is a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He represents clients in connection with the acquisition of vacant land, annexation and zoning, construction and permanent financing, construction contracts, build-to-suit and out-parcel sales agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, and leasing and management.

David Gelfand is Executive Managing Director at Studley Inc. where he has negotiated leases or consulted on projects representing more than 6 million square feet of space on behalf of commercial space users. Previously he was with Katten, Muchin & Zavis, the National Futures Association, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Thomas C. Homburger is a member of Bell, Boyd & Lloyd LLC. His practice is concentrated in the area of real estate financing, development and investment. He is particularly noted for his experience in sale/leaseback transactions and the use of advanced financing techniques.

Janet M. Johnson is a partner in the Real Estate Group of Schiff Hardin LLP. She represents clients in their transactions involving the acquisition, sale and financing of real estate projects, in rezonings, annexations and development or construction contracts for commercial and residential developments and in lease and ground lease negotiations.

Alvin Katz is a partner at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP. He has a widely diversified practice, representing real estate investors and developers in joint ventures and partnerships, acquisitions and dispositions of real property, debt and equity financings, and management and leasing transactions.

Mitchell Loveman is Vice President at Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler, Inc. His responsibilities include, tenant representation, agency leasing, and various sublease disposition assignments. He was awarded the Insignia/ESG Broker of the Year Award for the Central/Southeast region.

Patrick C. Maxcy, partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, practices in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group representing both debtors and creditors in complex Chapter 11 cases and asset purchasers in Section 363 sales. He represents the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the UAL Corporation bankruptcy.
