Why Order
"Patents are a tremendously valuable asset in today’s technology-driven economy. Managing those assets, however, is not a simple task. To fully benefit from the value of their patent portfolio, companies must develop processes for identifying inventions worth patenting, obtaining valuable enforceable patents on such inventions, and maximizing the value of such patent assets, whether through litigation or licensing. This seminar is directed at helping counsel manage patent assets, from the inception of an invention to enforcement and licensing. Leading practitioners and representatives of Boeing, Microsoft and Adobe will discuss their approach to patent asset management, and will answer questions such as: What processes should in-house counsel implement to identify and protect a company’s inventions? How can in-house counsel work with outside counsel to streamline the patent application process? How can a company insure that it is obtaining patents that have value? How can a company maximize the value of its patent portfolio, and how should patent litigation be managed?" ~ Program Co-Chairs: Ramsey M. Al-Salam, Esq. and Edward W. Bulchis, Esq.
