Meredith Martin Addy, Program Co-Chair, is a partner at Brinks
Hofer Gilson & Lione. Ms. Martin Addy focuses on intellectual
property litigation and also works as a Court Appointed Expert and
Special Master conducting Markman hearings, drafting Markman
decisions, and drafting decisions on motions for summary judgment
in complex patent litigations. She has significant experience
procuring, defending, and enforcing IP rights in the fields of
computer hardware, software, voice synthesis, and electrical
connectors.
Steven G. Steger, Program Co-Chair, is Director of Intellectual
Property and Associate General Counsel for Brunswick Corporation,
a company involved in marine engine technology, recreational
boats and related technology, exercise equipment, bowling and
billiards. Mr. Steger is responsible for managing Brunswick’s
intellectual property portfolio, including overseeing the acquisition
of patents and trademarks, as well as enforcement of the portfolio.
Joseph J. Berghammer is a partner at Banner & Witcoff, Ltd.
where he concentrates on litigation and counseling of patent,
trademark and copyright matters and the preparation and
prosecution of patent, trademark and copyright applications. Mr.
Berghammer has successfully litigated in many fields, including
food science technology, chemical compounds, steel processing and
