| A B O U T T H E C O N F E R E N C E Washingtons land use laws are again at the heart of continuing effort to maintain our quality of life and economic competitiveness. The U.S. Supreme Court, Bush Administration, Growth Boards and salmon continue to push and pull our land use laws in new and, at times, opposing directions. Recent and anticipated changes to these laws make it more challenging then ever to efficiently plan for and respond to new economic conditions while effectively protecting our natural systems. This seminar lays the foundation to understand the land use framework and explore the contours of current discussions regarding the role of our laws in balancing the objectives of livability and economic competitiveness. Program Co-Chairs: Eric S. Laschever, Esq. of Preston Gates & Ellis LLP, and Samuel W. Billy Plauché, Esq. of Buck & Gordon LLP. Credits:WA 14.0 CLE; CA 14.25 MCLE; Call about others. Who Should Attend? Lawyers, real estate professionals, government and tribal officials, planners, consultants and engineers. |
