Mary Jo Peed, Program Co-Chair, serves as Chief Counsel for Interconnection and Procurement at BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Georgia Tech School of Public Policy.

Walt Sapronov, Program Co-Chair, is a partner at Gerry & Sapronov LLP. Mr. Sapronov concentrates his practice on telecommunications law and regulation and transactions involving regulated communications carriers. He represents numerous clients before the Georgia Public Service Commission, the FCC, and the Georgia State Legislature.

Dr. Barry Andrews is President of 8x8, Inc.  where he guides the company's development and marketing of telecommunications products and technology for Internet Protocol and video applications.  Previously, he served as 8x8's Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technical Officer, Director of Customer Premise Equipment & Gateway Development.

Russell M. Blau is a founding partner of Swidler Berlin Shereff & Friedman LLP’s telecommunications, Internet and new technologies practice. He is an experienced telecommunications litigator, representing businesses in both court and regulatory agency proceedings and has argued cases before U.S. Courts of Appeals and District Courts, as well as the FCC, state courts and regulatory commissions.

Douglas G. Bonner is Chairman of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, L.L.P.’s Telecommunications Department. As an MCI Communications senior litigation attorney, he negotiated and litigated carrier agreements in federal court and in arbitration proceedings, and was actively involved in the development of MCI’s customer arbitration program.

Maria T. Browne is a partner at Cole, Raywid & Braverman LLP where she represents communications clients before the FCC, other federal, state and local regulatory agencies, and state and federal courts.

The Hon. David L. Burgess is Chairman of the Georgia Public Service Commission. He has effectively resolved electric, gas and telecommunications issues during his tenure, and continues to lead the Commission’s efforts to implement requirements of the 1996 Federal Telecommunications Act.

Robert J. Butler is a partner in the Communications and Privacy Practices of Wiley Rein & Fielding and co-chair of the firm’s Internet practice. He focuses on telecommunications regulation with a special emphasis on regulatory and legislative issues involving interconnection, information services and new technologies.

William Denebeim is Managing Director for FTI Consulting where he applies over fifteen years experience in the telecommunications industry advising and assisting executive management in the evaluation and implementation of core business strategies.

Colleen O’Grady Diamond, of SBC Communications, is Supervising Attorney in charge of Industry Markets for SBC's western region for interconnection agreement negotiations for Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) headquartered in California and Nevada.

Norman B. Gerry is a partner at Gerry & Sapronov LLP where his practice includes telecommunications law, construction law, and commercial real estate transactions, including development, finance and leasing, and estate planning.

Glenn S. Gerstell heads the global communications practice for Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. He represents sponsors, lenders, and equipment suppliers in projects involving fixed-line and wireless telecommunications installations, submarine systems, satellites, and the Internet.

Barry Goheen is a partner in King & Spalding LLP’s Litigation Practice Group. He practices general and commercial litigation focusing on class actions and other multi-party litigation.

Donald I. Hackney, Jr. is a partner with the firm Arnall, Golden, & Gregory, LLP and chairs the firm’s Telecommunications Practice Team. He represents cellular and personal communications services (PCS) operators and several service providers to the wireless industry, and has advised clients on regulatory matters, including the licensing and auction processes for the PCS industry.

Michael Karno is Corporate Counsel for Interconnection and Procurement at BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.  He works primarily on negotiating interconnection agreements with CLECs.

Richard P. Keck is a partner at Troutman Sanders LLP where he concentrates in the areas of telecommunications, e-business, international and domestic commercial transactions, licensing, and related matters. Active in the ABA, he is the founder and Chairman of the Georgia Electronic Commerce Association (GECA).

Bruce R. Kraus is a partner in the Corporate and Financial Services Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher. He specializes in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate advice for telecommunications clients.

C. Douglas Jarrett, a partner at Keller and Heckman LLP, is expert on the domestic regulation of broadband offerings and the related legal and business issues in deploying infrastructure to provide broadband services.

Christopher Libertelli is Legal Advisor at the FCC to Chairman Michael K. Powell on wireline competition-related matters. Previously, Mr. Libertelli served as Special Counsel for Competition Policy in the Office of the Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau.

Jonathan J. Nadler is a partner with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP where he has worked extensively on issues regarding telecommunication liberalization, broadband deployment, and the growth of the Internet.

Peter M. Pearl is a partner and heads the Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. He has extensive experience in the areas of bankruptcy law and workouts.

Carl Peede is President and CEO of Tri-State Broadband, Inc. He has held leadership positions in several publicly traded companies, and he applies his extensive background in technology management to leading and developing Tri-State Broadband.

Paul M. Rosenblatt is a partner with Kilpatrick & Stockton LLP. He concentrates his practice on bankruptcy litigation and transactional issues with an emphasis on telecom matters.

Jeffrey S. Spigel is a partner in King & Spalding LLP’s Washington, D.C. office, and a member of the Business Litigation and Antitrust Practice Group. His practice focuses on antitrust counseling and civil and criminal antitrust litigation.

Carmine Taglialatela, Jr. is President and CEO of ePhone Telecom, Inc., responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and the development of service offerings and expansion of services into new markets.

Michael J. Zpevak is an arbitrator on the Commercial Panel of the American Arbitration Association. Previously, Mr. Zpevak served as corporate counsel for SBC Communications, Inc. representing all SBC companies before the FCC for 16 years, including areas such as drafting, passage, implementation and appeals of the 1996 Telecom Act.
