Kevin A. Cranman, Program Co-Chair, is Director of Contracts at BellSouth Intellectual Property Management Corporation. Prior to joining BellSouth, he served as in-house counsel at the Georgia Institute of Technology for six years, where he concentrated on licensing, intellectual property, information technology, and related issues.

V. Scott Killingsworth, Program Co-Chair, co-chairs the Intellectual Property and Technology Group at Powell Goldstein Frazer & Murphy LLP. He is a former general counsel for several high technology businesses.

Scott M. Frank, Keynote Address, is President of BellSouth Intellectual Property Management Corporation and BellSouth Intellectual Property Marketing Corporation. A registered patent attorney, he previously practiced intellectual property law at Troutman Sanders LLP in Atlanta.

David R. Simmons, Luncheon Address,is President of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). TAG is an umbrella membership organization serving more than 3,000 members of Georgia’s technology community.

Evangelina Almirantearena is a Partner at Howrey Simon Arnold & White LLP where she focuses on antitrust and intellectual property litigation.

Joseph M. Beck is a Partner at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP. He is listed in “Best Lawyers in America” for copyright and entertainment law and is an Adjunct Professor of Intellectual Property at Emory University Law School. He also is the author of a novel and the producer of a television program on legal rights and remedies.

Michael D. Hauser is Of Counsel to Alston & Bird LLP and practices in the Intellectual Property Transactional Practice Group. He previously served as Assistant Counsel—Personal Products for Sara Lee Corporation.

Stuart R. Hemphill is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Department at Dorsey & Whitney LLP. He focuses on acquisition of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret rights; and licensing and other transfers of technology and intellectual property rights.

Richard P. Keck is a Partner at Troutman Sanders LLP. He represents electronic commerce companies in a variety of transactional, regulatory, and intellectual property matters. Also licensed in England and Wales, he has represented communications companies throughout his career.

David A. Kennedy is a Managing Director and founder of InteCap, Inc. , formerly TDRC, Inc. InteCap is a national consulting firm specializing in strategic intellectual property consulting. Mr. Kennedy heads the firm’s Intellectual Property Transactions and Licensing Division, where he is currently administering a number of large patent-licensing programs across a variety of industries.

Gregory J. Kirsch heads the computer, e-commerce and electronics patent practice at Needle & Rosenberg PC. He also is an Adjunct Professor of Patent Law at Emory University School of Law. In addition to his law practice, he is a co-founder of AfterBot, Inc. which focuses on the automatic management of personal assets.

Mitchell S. Kopelman is a Partner and Director of the Manufacturing, Entertainment, and Technology Group at Habif Arogeti & Wynne LLP. He works closely with high growth companies in all of those industry groups.

Myron A. Marcinkowski is Partner-in- Charge of the Southeast Region Valuation Services Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has extensive experience in royalty rate studies and valuations of patents, technology, trade names, and trademarks in a diverse range of domestic and international industries.

Ann K. Moceyunas is General Counsel of Derivion Corporation, an Atlanta-based e-billing application service provider. She is the Editor of Computer Law (the newsletter for the Computer Law Section of the Georgia State Bar) and is a part-time Assistant Professor in the Computer Information Systems Department at Kennesaw State University.

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Morgan is Of Counsel to Powell Goldstein Frazer & Murphy LLP where she concentrates her trial practice on the prosecution, enforcement, and defense of intellectual property rights in the context of both traditional and electronic commerce. She has taught trademark and trade secret law at the University of Miami School of Law and has been qualified and testified as an expert witness on trademark issues.

Scott Petty is a Partner in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group at King & Spalding. His patent practice includes efforts on behalf of electronic commerce companies to obtain protection for methods of doing business on the Internet.

F. Lawrence Street is a Partner in the Technology Practice Group at Morris Manning & Martin LLP. He represents computer companies with respect to licensing, Internet and on-line agreements, distribu-tion, intellectual property, copy-rights, corporate finance, and venture capital. He authored Law of the Internet, a 600 page book published by Lixis Law Publishing that describes the current laws and court cases affecting participants in the Internet.

Mark Traphagen is a Partner at Powell Goldstein Frazer & Murphy LLP. Before joining Powell Goldstein, he spent five years as Vice President and Counsel for the Software Publishers Association. He represented the association in the 1996 diplomatic conference that led to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Copyright Treaty. He also repre-sented the industry in negotiating important provisions for the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998.

Paul F. "Pete" Wellborn,III is Co-chair of the Internet and New Technologies Practice Group at Arnall Golden & Gregory LLP. Mr. Wellborn recently represented Earthlink Network, Inc. in obtaining a $2 million anti-spamming verdict against Cyber Promotions, Inc.

Susan Neuberger Weller is Of Counsel to Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Papeo PC. Her practice encompasses intellectual practice licensing, trade secrets, and corporate due diligence investigations.

John C. Yates is the Partner-in-Charge of the Technology Group at Morris Manning & Martin LLP. One of the pioneers in technology law, he has served as a legal advisor to computer, software, and e-commerce companies since 1981. The Technology Association of Georgia recently honored Mr. Yates by making him the first recipient of it Leader of Influence Award.

Martin M. Zoltick is a partner at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Papeo PC where he counsels clients on transactional matters involving patent licensing, joint ventures, development and consulting agreements. He also advises emerging businesses on the development and protection of intellectual property rights in relation to raising capital.
